Chena Hot Springs ♨️ — Fairbanks, Alaska
If you’re headed to Fairbanks this winter, this is the perfect apres-aurora activity night 🌌 . The geothermal pools are open year-round but are extra magical in the snow ❄️
💡 Tips for visiting:
- General admission is about US $20 per adult (ages 18–59), US $18 for seniors, US $17 for kids 6–17, and free for under-6.
- Kids are not allowed in the “rock pool” area (shown) — that’s 18+ only. There are indoor pools and hot tubs as well as one outdoor hot tub younger guests can use.
- Bring flip-flops (the ground is icy + wet)
- Bring your own towel — rentals are $5 if you don’t bring one.
- Bring shampoo + conditioner (and maybe a hair dryer) if you want to shower there — amenities are basic.
- While you’re there, you can also check out the Aurora Ice Museum on-site, or stay for dinner — great way to turn it into a full-day outing.
- Be careful: the road back to Fairbanks can get icy. They do offer a shuttle service to from and back to Fairb...
