🍸 Did you know there is an ice bar in Alaska where you can drink from a glass carved out of ice?
The Aurora Ice Museum at the Chena Hot Springs Resort is one of the most unique things to do in Fairbanks. Filled with 1,000+ tons of ice and incredible ice sculptures, you can add on an Appletini served in an ice martini glass that you can toss outside after the tour to “summon” the aurora!
Tickets are $20 for adults (12+) and $15 for kids (6–11), with 45 min guided tours running five times a day. Pair this experience with a soak in the hot springs + dinner at the historic resort restaurant for the perfect Fairbanks winter / apres aurora day! Note: The resort offers a shuttle service from Fairbanks if you prefer not to drive the icy roads in winter.
Share this with someone you’d love to cheers 🥂 here (and see the aurora) with!
P.S. If you love ice art, be sure to plan your Aurora trip around the World Ice Art Championships coming up Feb 16–Mar 31, 2026 in Fairbanks ❄️✨
