This painting and the mobiles accompanying it continue the dialogue initiated in the project I Prefer to See with My Eyes Closed, presented at the Museum of Modern Art Gunma, Japan, last March. I have always been drawn to looking again at what we already know... to what happens when we observe something a second time. When familiar forms shift just enough to reveal what we hadn’t seen before. Art history is not a fixed archive; it is a territory that rewrites itself every time we inhabit it with a new gaze. To see, truly see, is to accept that there is always something we have yet to see.
