‼️ Here’s my list of the five risks that have shaped my life:
1. At 20, I went to Brazil to volunteer as a psychologist for three months and learned to speak Portuguese.
2. At 22, I declined a full-time job offer to lead
@aiesecglobal in Puerto Rico without a real salary to cover my expenses. I learned the need for work-life balance as I gained 20 pounds, but I also gained valuable experience about my leadership style, NGO finances, and laws.
3. At 23, I moved to Europe to pursue a relationship and a career on another continent. I ended up doing a master’s degree in Spain and became part of the
@iebusiness alum community.
4. At 25, I joined
@linkedin in the Dublin office with no tech sales experience. I was nominated as Rookie of the Year for my performance at the Global Sales Kick-Off.
5. At 28, I faced my fear of not being a native speaker and transferred to LinkedIn’s NYC office. A few months later, thanks to my manager, I was invited to be part of a personal branding panel in SF.
