Tiny teeth. Big milestone. The teething timeline begins ~ and those sharp little milk teeth won’t stay little for long. Puppies typically begin teething around 3 weeks of age, and by approximately 6 weeks, most have all 28 deciduous (temporary) teeth—commonly called puppy teeth, milk teeth, or baby teeth. The incisors (at the front of the mouth) and canine teeth (the fangs) erupt first, followed by the premolars. Puppies do not have baby molars. Around 12 weeks of age, the deciduous teeth begin to fall out and are gradually replaced by 42 permanent adult teeth.
