Okay this isn’t a travel fixed everything in my life post because it didn’t “fix” me — it just cracked me open enough to finally meet myself.
And when I came back home, I realised it was never the town that suffocated me… it was the version of me I used to be in it.
The girl who doubted herself.
The girl who dimmed her light to blend in.
The girl who didn’t know what joy even felt like yet.
Leaving gave me space to grow.
Coming back showed me that I actually did.
Because now?
I’m doing life with me for the first time — picking up new hobbies, embracing nature, noticing beauty in places I used to overlook, choosing slower mornings, taking walks, feeling grounded.
Now I see who I can be anywhere, even here.
Especially here.
I wasn’t running away.
I was becoming someone who could finally show up in her own life with clarity, confidence, softness, purpose… and actually enjoy being alive.
And honestly?
I feel more peace at home now than I ever have — because I’m not the same girl anymo...
