Do you know what the most powerful, silent superpower is? Emotional intelligence. Happy Monday loves and women’s history month! If you think it’s tough to sometimes name your emotions or truly identify how you’re feeling, imagine how challenging it is for our littles. So how do we encourage them to use their voices? Teaching kids to NAME their emotions is the first step to emotional intelligence. When I see BIG emotions and the ZAJA twins, Zuri & Zaila, struggling to name them…I help them out…I SAY the emotions I see OUT LOUD and ask them if they’re feeling this way. Our @lovevery play kit also has one of the best tools to help us build this skill - the emotion match and mirror cards set. I love it because: 1) it’s another fun way for the girls to see a picture that may match their emotions, 2) I get to show them my own version of the emotion and 3) then they can also use the mirror to see what they look like expressing that emotion. Listen. See. Do. Touch. Mirror. #lovevery...
