This month, our family is diving deep into the Black history of our country and into our own heritage roots! Our children deserve to know where they come from. Virginia Beach is a true melting pot, where many stories meet, and where we’ve been genuinely welcomed. We were never meant to quiet our culture, our differences, or our disabilities to belong—we were meant to bring them to the table. From New York to this coast, my children have been truly accepted.
