Tonight I end the day with a heart carrying both joy and grief. Ten years ago, this day was heavy with trauma, and yet today it overflows with joy because of the gift Andrew has been!!!! 💙 I think back to that 29-year-old mom, doing it again… another disabled child, but proudly my disabled child. My baby, whom I was so proud to hold after months of wondering who he would be. Now, a decade later, I celebrate while still healing. I’ve watched him fight silent battles, conquer with resilience, and endure pain that most never see. Life holds so much in a single day-grief and joy intertwined. What I hold onto most is hope.
