🥳Happy Disability Pride Month!
People sometimes question (or complain) why there are so many different “pride months”—but this one holds a special place in my heart. As a mom of two incredible disabled children, I celebrate Disability Pride Month with a fierce and motherly love.
You may never fully understand the challenges they’ve faced or the heartbreak caused by others, but when you truly see us—really see us—you’ll understand that this pride isn’t about seeking attention. It’s about identity. It’s about saying, “This is who we are.”
Disability isn’t something to fix or change. It’s something to embrace. And in that embrace, we find strength, resilience, and the purest form of self-love. Whether disabled or not, this month is a reminder that every life has value, and every story deserves pride.
