Old time farming tradition is that you’re supposed to plant your root crop vegetables like potatoes during a full moon and all your above ground crops during a new moon. I’ve also heard you’re supposed to plant on Good Friday. In reality, the temperature of your soil and the moisture is going to affect yield way more than the phase of the moon. You want the soil temp to be between 45-60F with enough moisture that it’s not dusty but also not sloppy mud. You should be able to make a firm ball out of it. As long as the soil condition is right, you should be good to plant!
