Tennessee Valley Authority CEO Don Moul, who has been the target of consistent political opposition from the Trump administration, informed the federal utility’s board of directors on Friday that he plans to retire effective July 1, the Chattanooga Times Free Press has learned.
Trump signed a memorandum in March pushing the TVA board of directors to set a compensation limit of $500,000 on all employees. The move ratcheted up the president’s criticism of TVA’s CEO compensation across his two terms.
