Like many of you searching for the best shoes for your next HYROX, I was doing the same. I had been using the Puma Deviate and wanted something better. By mistake, I bought the Alphafly instead of AlphaZoom. After doing some research, I noticed a few top HYROX athletes were using it too, so I decided not to exchange it. So how do I honestly feel after trying it? For running, the Alphafly is amazing. The thick cushioning gives strong energy return, it is lightweight, and it feels comfortable enough to reduce blisters. But here comes the big downside. Even with years of training, it is really hard to stay stable during many of the stations. The front grip is not strong enough for the sled pull, and because of the thick cushioning, I could not use the ground properly to generate resistance. For the sled push, the front sole does not have enough surface area in contact with the ground, so I had to use more force, which means more energy wasted. My overall verdict: Alphafly is excell...
