Two orcas named “Port” and “Starboard” have become infamous in South Africa for hunting and killing great white sharks together. Most orcas, also known as killer whales, hunt in pods. These orcas are after the shark’s liver, the most calorie-dense organ in the shark. Whale-watching tour operator David Hurwitz named them for their distinctive dorsal fins, which are collapsed to the left and right, respectively.
