Her Legacy | Episode 13 A dominant competitor whose achievements still stand the test of time. Helen Hyman captured seven CWGA championships, including the 1944 and 1948 Match Play titles and the 1950 Stroke Play Championship. Her success continued well into her senior years, winning four consecutive Colorado Senior Women’s Championships from 1964–1967, and another in 1974. At the club level, Hyman achieved something nearly unmatched — winning the Green Gables Country Club women’s championship 24 times, a record that remains untouched. Among her many golf memories, one stood above the rest: the chance to compete alongside legendary LPGA star Mickey Wright in the 1963 Sears Classic.
