Even at the highest levels of sport, lessons can always be learned and sometimes you need a tough performance to remind you what matters. Valarie did an amazing job of flipping her mindset, not pressing, and genuinely enjoying herself on Saturday. The result was a throw of 73.10m which is 7th best mark all-time and just 42cm under her 🇺🇸 record. The four days in Oklahoma included two meets…one fun and one not so fun 😝, beautiful sunsets, 🐶 walks, good luck signs after the first meet🍀, delicious Mexican food and margs, a fun BMW rental car, and a lot of drills in the parking garage with the help of my assistant coach Oly. Thanks to @throw_town_ramona & @donmillican_throwing for creating such a tremendous facility in Ramona and also for hosting such high level competitions. We’ll be back 🫡
