We’ve been told what’s coming, yet we’re still waiting. Hope is not what is seen; if we could hold it, it wouldn’t be hope. Thus we wait. Not aimlessly; not hopelessly; not selfishly. But with a quiet confidence that what God has said is true. We wait with eager perseverance. A faith that exists in the blank space, in between “It is finished” and “Well done, good and faithful servant”. In the waiting. And still, we hold on. Because the promise has already been secured!
