Just shy of 40 years ago I photographed Jamie Lee Curtis while on set making a movie with Patrick Swayze and C. Thomas Howell in Pontiac, Ill. I had never been on a movie set and was a bit overwhelmed and starstruck. I was assigned by the local newspaper but no one had made any arrangements for me to be there. When I arrived the producer said I couldn’t make any photos and I was looking a bit deflated and disappointed when Jamie came up to me and asked, “What do you need honey?” I replied, "I just need a few pics of you for my local newspaper." That one photo wound up being a photo page in the Sunday edition of the newspaper because Jamie’s kind heart allowed me to make several images of her and the other actors.
