After directing 19 students during a summer Paris program and teaching an asynchronous online class with 33 students, Professor Paul Scott spent his last 3 weeks of the summer traveling around Japan visiting five-storied pagodas, gardens, and original castles. . Professor Scott has visited around 45, 5-story pagodas over the years. “I love their aesthetic, symbolism, history, and cultural value.
