✨Student Spotlight on Helen Viloria (she/her)! ✨ @helen_ev5 . Helen is majoring in Economics with a minor in East Asian Languages and Cultures focused on Chinese language. . During Summer 2024, she studied abroad in Taiwan. “It is hard to pinpoint what my favorite part was, because I truly enjoyed every single day! The support provided by the university and my classmates was unmatched, I believe I not only learned more about the language but also more about Taiwanese culture,” says Helen. . Helen is also a FLAS Fellowship recipient! She encourages students to “100% apply” to the fellowship. “FLAS made it possible for me to go to Taiwan for little to no cost, I was able to fully immerse myself into the language and study without having to worry about being able to financially sustain myself which was a big relief,” says Helen. . .
