Today a 👸🏾 was born! My shero and mentor, @repmaxinewaters has been gracing us with her presence and advocacy for decades! From apartheid in South Africa to gang violence in South Central, there’s not an issue too big for her to solve. I’ve always called her the nation’s Congresswoman because she treats all of us as her constituents. She shows us what public service is all about AND she delivers. It was my greatest honor to intern for her law school and an even greater honor to continue my work with her at the @congressionalblackcaucus . I still want to be like her when i grow up—fierce, fly, and finna handle business. I love you to life, MW! Thank you for your steady hand and guidance.
