On this day in history, we recognize Jesse Jackson for his outstanding efforts in organizing $$$ for the Black community. He noticed that within a big corporation like Coca-Cola, where Black people had the BUYING POWER, we lacked INFLUENCE. His efforts to diversify the company came to life when Coca-Cola agreed to invest in the Black community. However, the company only distributed $11 million of the $34 million that they committed to. Our influence is truly invaluable, so let’s put our buying power where it will be appreciated.
