Grace Helen Whitener is the first Black and LGBTQ woman to serve as a justice on the Washington State Supreme Court. At the age of 16, Whitener immigrated to the United States from Trinidad. After graduating from law school, she spent over 14 years practicing law as a prosecutor, private defense attorney, and public defender. #ARYEXWHM #WomensHistoryMonth
