A huge win for MSLF in Vanderstock v. Garland! The US District Court for the Northern District of Texas rightfully sided with us on all the major issues in this case. This opinion is a complete victory for our clients. We will not allow the ATF to criminalize American citizens through the redefining of firearms or firearm parts that are already in private homes. The Judge now agrees. As the Court previously explained, the issue in this case is whether the ATF may properly regulate a component as a “frame or receiver” even after the ATF determines that the component in question is not a frame or receiver. It may not. Logic dictates that a part cannot be both not yet a receiver and a receiver at the same time.
