Three years ago, I was invited to participate in my first TV appearance offering commentary. It was @nationalactionnetwork's Measuring the Movement on @tvonetv. The program was hosted by @real_sharpton. This program literally boosted me into the national spotlight and has afforded me numerous opportunities to give on-air commentary. Tonight is bittersweet. I have the opportunity to do something I love with someone who has truly become a mentor and legitimized black commentators by showing his audience that we are good enough, we are smart enough, and we must be heard.
