if beetlejuice was (more) camp, he would be eddie michaels. so, are we sure chuck tingle is human, and not some otherworldly being? how does he keep releasing such amazing creations after amazing creations? and more importantly- how does he keep tricking me into reading them? i don’t like scary shit. i don’t like gore. AND YET. chocked full of rock power-ballads, sequins, humor and gore, FABULOUS BODIES reminds us there is more to life than who we portray ourselves to be on the internet. tingle does body horror in a way that is so disgusting and disturbing that i cannot look away from and yet feels oddly... healing? his stories all tend to leave the reader with a feeling of hope despite being put (willingly) through hell for the duration of the story. love IS real, and tingle is not going to let us forget it. he’s gonna to make us go through some shit first, but, he sure is gonna get us back to love in the end. #chucktingle #fabulousbodies #loveisreal #bookreview
