This story was shared with us by a member of our community who is now grieving the loss of their loved one 🤧 Ottawa Police say a 31-year-old man is now facing charges of impaired driving causing death and dangerous driving causing death after the collision between a passenger van and a sedan around 7:15 p.m. The woman was critically injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The area of Carling Avenue was closed for several hours as police investigated, reopening around 6 a.m. Thursday. Police say this tragedy is a reminder that impaired driving is entirely preventable, and one decision can change lives forever.
