Yesterday, something special happened! Students gathered beneath their hanging banners, words swaying in the breeze — the wind carrying their messages off into the world. Our English department spearheaded the hanging of these banners in celebration of the American Dream Flag Project. The Project was inspired by the flags hung at the base of Mt. Everest and symbolizes the spreading of ideas into the world. To close the day, they read aloud from 13 of America’s greatest poets, honoring 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Go see the display infront of the Edward M.
