A life in the Pershore community was saved last year thanks to a
#ControlTheBleed🩸 kit at The Angel Hotel.
The kit was originally donated by Heartlands Hospital nurse Alison Wickham, and after it was used we were proud to replace it through The Daniel Baird Foundation so it is once again there if it’s ever needed. thedanielbairdfoundation
When we first introduced public access bleed control kits in 2017, the idea was met with scepticism. Today these kits are placed in communities across the UK and, often quietly and without fanfare, they are saving lives.
We don’t always hear the stories when they are used — but every time someone is given a chance because a kit was there, it reminds us why this work matters. Alongside our amazing partners we continue to deliver community awareness sessions so people know how to act when it matters most.
Lives are being saved. Daniel’s legacy lives on. 💙
