Trish Putnam of Annapolis, Maryland, is raising her first future #servicedog, Gimbal, as a our #volunteer puppy raiser! 🐕‍🦺❤️ Trish works for a military organization called U.S. Cyber Command (along with about 6,000 fellow employees). She says from the boss on down, everyone is completely besotted with Gimbal. "I returned from the UK last summer with my sights set on getting a dog — I needed a passion project and some sunshine! While chatting with friends about my aspirations, one shared that she and her mom had raised Canine Companions puppies throughout her childhood," she says. Through volunteering, she not only learned a tremendous amount about effective #puppy training, but her efforts also helped change lives by preparing future service dogs to give greater independence to people with disabilities.
