$41.5 million just spent on a fabulous triplex penthouse in this elegantly understated Greenwich Village building— #musthavebeenthephotos Or maybe it was the sublime 10ft Jeff Koons bronze sculpture of wine corks in the lobby (shown here photographed on the day it was installed…I was actually pushing a broom to get the debris out the way in time to get the shot before nightfall and too many reflections set in). Or perhaps it was the genius of architect David Chipperfield? One way or another, it all worked so well that the building is not only home to movie stars but to its own developer, that’s really putting your money where your mouth is!
