Branding system for the logo lockup celebrating the 60th anniversary of the famed 1966 Texas Western College national champion men's basketball team. I loved going back and finding iconic imagery to compile together with headlines reported of the championship game. A letterpress style of textures to mimic the past with a modern update. Colors matching last year's "The Bear" Collection of Don Haskins for consistency. Typeface matching Texas Western College (TWC) trademark. Three main variations for multiple applications of the logo starting with the primary of its full celebratory 60th and years. Secondary in a circular shape for alternative use on various touch points like a shirt, towel, or court. Tertiary version for smaller areas such as a patch for the uniforms or back of shirt label. In 1966, Texas Western made history by becoming the first school to start five black players in the NCAA championship game.
