Anastasia Lopez originally from Santo Domingo De Guzman (Sonsonate) El Salvador, a town where they still speak and strive to preserve the Nahuat language, La lengua materna. They say throughout El Salvador there are only 200 people that speak the Nahuat language. Most speakers are older which puts the language at risk. The only language that has managed to survive is the Pipil language (Nahuat) Sadly, it is a dying indigenous language in El Salvador on the verge of extinction.
