It’s been an especially busy few years for Riverwood Class of 2022 Avery Smith, and we’ve enjoyed watching him make his mark at the University of Toledo. Before he finds his new home in the NFL this month, we’re taking a minute to recognize this special Raider because we knew him when… ➡️ Smith amassed 6,175 career passing yards and 70 total touchdowns in his tenure at Riverwood, helping secure two region championships. He was named the Region 7-6A Player of the Year, the AJC’s Class 6A Player of the Year, and was a finalist for the Touchdown Club of Atlanta’s Mr. Georgia recognition. Football is never an easy road in college. So, as much as we celebrate with Avery this month, we also acknowledge what it took him to get here. And we’re sitting back here on Raider Drive and cheering him on. So proud of you, Avery!
