How awkward can tea-time television actually get? How about keeping it in the family? At the centre of the storm was Georgia Simpson, played by the stunning Helen Grace, whose character developed feelings for her brother Nat. Georgia was strikingly attractive and intelligent, which meant viewers were left in the deeply confusing position of thinking: “She seems lovely… but also… absolutely not.” Moral outrage flowed like cheap lager at a student union. Complaints were filed. Editorials were written. And across the nation, viewers performed the classic British line of saying: “That’s disgusting. I’m not watching that again.” …and then tuning in the next night anyway with a box of tissues! Obviously, I am not condoning this behaviour but also, it wasn't real. In reality I'd rather flatted out my c*ck and balls with a meat tenderiser than even go near my sister. #brookside #tvsoaps
