A sweet little girl’s room in the mansard extension of a Victorian home. Cosy, useful and designed exactly to be uniquely hers. Behind the finished and comfy interior was months of planning and construction- choosing the exact shade of neutral pink so that the room could be suitable in five years time, designing the exact size shelving for paperback & hardback books and beloved objects, creating bespoke wardrobes and cupboards that fitted with the quirky roof shape, positioning the hanging chair so that it was structurally stable but also gave the best views in the room. Then making sure the right insulation and waterproofing was used for the new roof extension, choosing the perfect rooflights to bathe room in extra light and ensuring they didn’t clash with structural elements abx left enough space for the roof to breathe and not develop condensation.
