Bam Adebayo, center for the Miami Heat, recently recorded an 83 point game against the Washington Wizards, the second highest single game total in NBA history, much to the dismay of many basketball fans. Usually, an NBA record is celebrated, but as he passed the late great Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant’s previous record of 81 points, Bam now just sits behind Wilt Chamberlain for the most points scored in an NBA game, as Wilt still holds the record at 100 points scored in a single game.
When I saw the thumbnail of the third slide, I thought it was hilarious that many NBA fans dislike that he now has the second highest single game total, especially because he made 36 free throws and attempted 43 on his way to tallying 83 points. However, he still filled up the rest of the stat sheet, recording 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks.
Do you think it’s great that Bam passed Kobe’s record, or are you upset as well?
