Here are a few key steps: 👉 Check local regulations and weather conditions before lighting any fire 👉 Clear at least 10 feet around your fire down to bare soil 👉 Keep your fire small and never leave it unattended 👉 Keep water, a shovel, and dirt nearby at all times 👉 Fully extinguish your fire — drown it, stir it, and feel for heat.
