It may look quiet from the outside, but inside the CAL FIRE Aviation Training Center, it’s a different story. These months are foundational for our aviation program. Flight crews cycle through the Aviation Training Center at McClellan, moving through classroom instruction, simulator training, and many times onto training scenarios that include flights.   Simulators are a key part of that process. Crews build expertise by repetition and can train for emergencies in a controlled, safe environment.   Less hours on our aircraft reduces our environmental footprint and ensures our fleet stays in service and mission-ready. #Aviation #Readiness #Training #MissionReady #AirOps
