Understanding how drought and wildfires affect redwood forests is essential to promote effective forest management strategies and long-term resilience. By applying both new studies, and building upon long-term research from the Caspar Creek Experimental Watershed Study, researchers are working to find answers at calfirejdsf in Mendocino County. This living laboratory provides an ideal environment for this work.
