I made a post earlier about something other than the movement because I missed the memo. 😳 I’m sorry that came across as me not being on the side of justice. . AND IF I HAVEN’T BEEN CLEAR, I hope those who have followed me for more than a day know that I am on the side of solutions and equality, for it is long overdue. . I experience white privilege every single day, consciously or unconsciously. I’m absolutely treated differently & more lenient due to the color of my skin. My black & brown friends are absolutely treated differently because of the color of theirs. . Of course all lives matter, but when there needs to be light shed on particular lives at particular times & you answer with “aLL LiVeS mATTer”, it feels as if you’re undermining their protest & the issue at hand. . That is not empathetic, it comes across as insensitive & irrelevant to the point because the system is not failing white people, it is failing black people. . We are in the middle of a beautiful historic moment!...
