"Performing has to be a whole new energy. I remember all the moments over DCI where I felt like everything was "worth it" was when I was in uniform walking to the stadium. That performance mode really gave me some kind of high, where I felt like being in the show was as close to floating or bliss that I could get. Those are the moments where I feel like the whole show flies by and I can't even believe it's already done. That, and also seeing the younger performers. I love watching them perform, and honestly, having them watch us. It's great because I can so truly remember being in their shoes. We're really not that far away.
