Hey
#dancespirit community, meet Cameron Voorhees! 💖
Cameron is originally from Elmira, NY, and currently lives in Greenville, SC.
Born with femoral anteversion and hip dysplasia, Cameron stepped into the ballet studio as soon as she could walk for physical therapy. Eventually, she no longer needed dance for treatment, but for the joy it brought her. 🩰
In January 2026, she attended National YoungArts Week as a Winner With Distinction. She performed her self-choreographed solo, “Silent Shout,” and was awarded the $10,000 Gold Award and nominated for a Presidential Scholar in the Arts. 🏆
Cameron is inspired by William Forsythe, Rafael Bonachela, Crystal Pite, Jermaine Spivey, Bobbi Jene Smith, Kelis Robinson, Byron Tittle, Timothy Blankenship, Emanuel Dostine, Ashley Green, and Sidney Ramsey.
