Every year, I accidentally call my dad on the wrong day for his birthday.
Every. Single. Year.
This year, I finally got it right—only to find out he was at the gym.
At 72 years old.
Getting ready to turn... something. (He won’t tell me his actual age, so I’m just guessing at this point.)
So I tell my son about his grandfather’s gym routine. Thinking I’m passing down some wisdom about health, longevity, discipline.
His response?
“He’s fu*king.”
That’s it. Just... “He’s fu*king.”
Completely unfiltered. Absolutely hilarious. And honestly? Probably not wrong.
Moral of the story:
Dad’s still lifting. I’m still calling on the wrong day. And my son? He’s already figured out the real reason people stay healthy—and it’s not for the extra years. It’s for the extra fun. 💀
Happy birthday, Dad. Even if I’m late again next year. 🎂💪
Now, back to my vitamins. Back to my mirror. Back to staying fit for all the right reasons. 💊🪞
