Connectors help Claude access real data like emails, files, or tools. Without them, Claude can only work with what you type. Skills help Claude follow a fixed way of working, so you don’t have to repeat instructions every time. Plugins bring everything together and let Claude complete full tasks in one go. A useful way to think about it: connectors = data, skills = instructions, plugins = execution. If something feels slow or repetitive, check what’s missing. If Claude doesn’t have data, use connectors. If outputs are inconsistent, create a skill. If tasks take multiple steps, use a plugin. This is how you make Claude more reliable and less manual.
