From April 23 to 25, the Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) in Troy, New York, presents Corpus Festival, a weekend of performances, installations, talks, and video works exploring how bodies move through systems of power, relation, and mutual responsibility. Featuring artists Yanira Castro, Thuto Durkac-Somo, Meg Foley, Jonathan González, Mario Gooden, Carmichael Jones, Alla Kovgan, Kate Ladenheim, Annie-B Parson, nibia pastrana santiago, and Arabella Stanger, the festival considers how movement and action construct social space and reframe how we participate in society. With select works on view from April 16 through May 8, Corpus Festival also includes an artist-led community meal and book bar, turning empac_rpi into both a gathering place and a body of artworks.
