Artist Spotlight: Olga Stamatiou 🎨 Born in New York City, Olga began her artistic journey in 1967. She started her formal education in Athens, Greece, in the mid-1960s, studying under the painter Ilias Dekoulakos. After returning to the U.S. in 1976, she earned both her BFA and MFA from Boston University. For two decades, Stamatiou exhibited her work across the United States before moving back to Greece in 1997. Her art serves as a metaphor for life, delving into the tension between light and dark and the universal life force in all creatures. In 2008, she co-founded the award-winning nonprofit Seewall Child, which creates art installations for children in crisis centers.
