Parent training and support is an actual service (typically under "related services") that can be written into your child's IEP...
And if you've never heard of it, trust me when I say - you are not alone!!
Just like anything in your child's IEP, if the IEP team determines that it's a necessary support for your child to access a Free and Appropriate Public Education, it can be added!
This means that the school would provide YOU with the resources, coaching, or training necessary to help you support your child's needs at home.
So, what could this look like?
