Northport, NY…The Community Playhouse of Northport (158 Laurel Avenue, Northport), will perform “Nickelodeon The SpongeBob Musical” on April 24th , April 25th , April 26th , May 1st and May 3rd . Friday and Saturday performances at 7:30 PM and Sunday matinees at 3:00 PM. This modern family musical is based on the beloved animated television program, and promises non-stop original music composed by current musical artists including John Legend, Sara Bareilles and Lady Antebellum. It also features witty dialogue with lots of adult humor (and a few dad jokes), high energy dance numbers, and gorgeous sets and costumes. The musical begins with the citizens of Bikini Bottom discovering that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home.
