We lost the legendary DXM five years ago today. Rest easy, X. 🙏🕊️ DMX, born Earl Simmons, was a definitive force in hardcore hip-hop known for his raw intensity and signature gravelly delivery. He made history as the first artist to have his first five studio albums debut at number one on the Billboard 200, a feat that cemented his status as a multi-platinum icon and a leader of the Ruff Ryders collective. His legendary career is defined by timeless street anthems and chart-topping hits including “Get at Me Dog” (1998), “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem” (1998), “How’s It Goin’ Down” (1998), “Party Up (Up in Here)” (2000), and “X Gon’ Give It to Ya” (2003). #dmx #90shiphop #90smusic #90s #millennials
